“DUALIS AURORA” – Interior Perspective

When I placed DUALIS AURORA in these different interiors, I wanted to see how the artwork would communicate with the space around it, without losing its own identity.

The painting already contains a wide range of colours, shapes and contrasts. Warm terracotta, orange and gold tones meet different shades of blue, while the darker parts give the composition more depth and structure. Because of this, the artwork does not depend on one particular interior style. It can connect naturally with warm materials, dark architectural details, soft neutral walls and more contemporary furniture.

What works especially well in these spaces is that the interiors do not try to copy every colour from the artwork. Instead, they pick up selected elements from it. A blue cushion, a rust-coloured detail, warm wood, brass, black frames or natural greenery are enough to create a connection. The result feels considered, but not overly coordinated.

The curved furniture, rounded tables, arches and decorative objects also relate to the circular forms inside the painting. This creates a softer visual flow between the artwork and the room. At the same time, the clean walls and larger open areas give the detailed composition enough space to remain clear and noticeable.

In darker and more richly decorated surroundings, this painting feels warmer and more expressive. In lighter and quieter spaces, its symmetry and fine details become more visible. The modern interiors bring out its graphic quality, while the earthy materials make it feel more grounded and tactile.

I find this contrast interesting because the artwork changes the atmosphere without needing to dominate the entire room.
It gives the eye a place to return to and introduces colour, detail and personality into the space.

The interior and the painting do not need to be identical in style. What matters more is the balance between them.
The room creates enough calm around the artwork, while the artwork gives the room something unexpected and personal.

For me, DUALIS AURORA works in these interiors because it carries several moods at the same time. It is colourful but structured, detailed but balanced, warm and cool, decorative and symbolic.

The surroundings may change, but the relationship between the two sides of the composition remains the same.
