The Artist
I am Ljubica Lazova, a painter, illustrator, and visual artist.
Born in Macedonia, currently creating in Norway.
Art found me early and never really left. Choir, acting, poetry, drawing, each one a different language for the same need. Of all of them, drawing stayed closest. It is the one that asks the least and gives the most. The one where something honest comes through without much effort to explain it.
My background in furniture and interior design did something unexpected to the way I work. Years of technical hand-drawing, of constructing forms with precision and intention, left a mark that shows up in every piece. The geometry in my work is not a style choice. It is muscle memory.
I paint and draw across media: acrylic on canvas and wood, rapidograph and ink, textile, mixed techniques. Each piece carries its own logic, discovered in the making.
In April 2026, I exhibited at the Oslo International Flamenco Festival at Cosmopolite Arena in Oslo.
In June 2026, I am invited to exhibit and hold a workshop at Åsgårdstrand Dagene, in the small coastal town where Edvard Munch once lived and created some of his most significant works.
B-Lines Studio is where all of it comes together.
